The idea of on-furnace assembly has been juggled for years. Electrode handling equipment manufacturers have spent countless hours and finances to unveil new products only for the customer to find that the product can't be effectively serviced and/or adversely effecting their production efficiency. We at CIS, Inc. understand this and have seen our competition's downfalls. Therefore, we are proud to introduce our latest product, the "Trode Tightener". Our patented design incorporates the combination of our mill tested and time-proven pneumatic torque device along with some of the fundamentals associated with our off-furnace assembly technology to offer a product stable in the mill environment; rivaling that of our competitors and their use of “modern” electronics. Eradicating the electronic “bells and whistles” of some of these other devices allows the “Trode Tightener” to be of sound mechanical design reducing the need for constant service but increasing efficiency.
